NTRODUCTION OF WATER TRANSFER PRINT
water transfer print is the most effective and environmental technology in the printing area, which get rid of inks in the printing process and intergrates the sophisticated chemical and aquatic pressure technic. it is a new technology in the printing field, which avoided those problems existed in hot/transfer print, screen print and other traditional printings. water transfer print has below characteristics: 1. it avoided the ink transfer print and can be adapted to any materials and sophisticated surface like plastic ABS, PC, PP, nylon, wood, metal, glass, cemetics ect. 2. it is of water-proof and cannot be easily fasted. 3. it can be designed stylistic logos.
the water transfer print apply the aquatic pressure and special chemicals that melt and transfer the mediate layer: 1. print varied logos on the high density transfer paper; 2. spray one additive layer on different materials like metal, cemetics ect. the underground color will be adapted to the different logos. e.g. wooden line will usually use brown, cafe color, basic yellow etc, stone line usually apply white color etc; 3. the transfer paper will be put into the water to have a good extension; 4. applying the special chemicals to motivate the logos into the ink image; 5. take the advantage of the aquatic pressue to print those logos on the varied products; 6. get rid of the rest remains in the water; 7. dry those printed products under the specific temprature; 8. spray another transparant layer to protect those products.
there are two kinds of water transfer print technologies: the one is basic water transfer print that almost applied in the words and logo transfer print, the other one is called cubic water transfer print , which is usually be used for the whole transfer print on the products surface. the cubic transfer is using the water-melted layer for transfer its designs, which has the good extension and can be easily string to the surface, which has a wonderful effect as painting, besides it can be printed on different surfaces with various dimensions, which has solved the problem to printing on the three-dimension products. more over, it can be added different spray lines on the products surface, can avoid the non-full print in those old print technologies and will not destroy the products surface in the technique procedure since the surface is departed from the transfer paper.
